Game 1: Meeting Engagement
We had played a few test games of 'Clash of Rhyfles' to get a feel for the mechanics of it, with both of use pretty confident in the rules we started our tale.
The Battlefield
I played as the Croftyr, while my son took the Crusaders. Our forces were 300pts each.
Croftyr Force

The Game
Whoever won this game would be pushing into enermy territory, the opponent will be attempting to slow them down with an Ambush.
The Croftyr came marching down the road in column while the Crusaders set up in a skirmish line. The opening actions were mostly both sides scurrying for cover and taking the odd shot.
A fierce fire fight erupted, the Croftyr caused an early casualty with the Cryfen Gunner but the machine gun group were taken out by a Crusader Grenade, the gunner wounded, the Milwer killed but the loader stunned.
The Crusader who threw it started moving up with a buddy, but the Loader recovered and the Gunner turned out to be OK, between them they gunned down the two Crusaders.
The team then moved to support the fierce fire fight down the road.
The Cruaders were pouring fire down the road and advancing on the croftyr.
They eventually got close enough where both sides exchanged grenades.
With their position in danger of being overrun, the Croftyr fixed bayonets and charged (burning all my pluck away as well),
The area around the Shrine became a brutal melee.
But the Croftyr's charge worked, and they beat the Crusaders.
With plenty of Crusader infantry still in good positions overlooking the road the Assaulting Rhyflers pulled back.
Both sides had taken casualties, it was a stalemate where to dislodge either side would be a bloody messy affair, so we decided to end the game there and see who won.
It could not have been closer!

So with a Crusader win, they will be advancing into Croftyr territory.
The Croftyr will be setting up a nice ambush for them.
